High Line Hotel

Visual content proposal - The High Line Hotel

A Gothic seminary turned Chelsea hotel,
photographed the way it deserves to be seen.

Intentional and aspirational photography and short-form video built to drive direct bookings, not just fill the Instagram feed.

Commercial experience with

The opportunity

Where The High Line Hotel stands

One of the most photogenic properties in NYC.
The feed doesn't reflect it.

19th-century English wallpaper, hand-selected antiques, a gated Parisian courtyard with gas lamps. Roman and Williams designed this hotel to feel like a different era entirely. That's an extraordinary thing to photograph and it's not being photographed at the level it deserves.

What the work is actually for

Images that make someone
complete their booking.

Someone booking The High Line Hotel has almost certainly seen the courtyard on Instagram, read about Roman and Williams, and decided this is exactly the kind of place they want to stay. The photography has to confirm that instinct the moment they land on the website - not just document the rooms, but make the decision feel obvious and right. Right now, the assets aren't doing that work at the level the hotel deserves.

Content concepts for The High Line Hotel

01

The courtyard

Gas lamps, ivy, vintage bicycles, a gated garden in the middle of Chelsea. There is not another courtyard like this in New York City. It needs to be the defining image of this hotel and right now it isn't.

02

The rooms

Four different 19th-century English wallpaper patterns, one-of-a-kind antiques in every room, decorative fireplaces. Each room is different. That's a story worth telling and the current photography barely scratches it.

03

The building at dusk

A Gothic seminary in Chelsea, lit at dusk, with the High Line visible nearby. The exterior is as compelling as the interior and it's almost entirely absent from the hotel's current marketing.

Let's discuss what a
Content System looks like
for The High Line Hotel.

Most hotels at this level have the product. The photography just hasn't caught up. One shoot is enough to change that. Let's walk through what that looks like specifically for The High Line Hotel.
